Birds & more

Birds pop up in my work in many surprising ways. Besides being a link to nature and being beautiful beings I have always been intrigued by their wider symbolism. Meanings of birds and their symbolism varies greatly from representing immortality, departed souls, enlightenment and spirit messengers to representing fertility, protection, and strength.
In many cultures they are seen as messengers from the spirit world and a reminder of our ancestors. Bluebirds in particular are symbols for Joy and Hope and Bluejays relate to strength and are seen as Lucky and a symbol of good things to come.
