Bird Prints

Birds have always played an important role in my work and pop up in my work in many surprising ways. Besides being a link to nature and being beautiful beings I have always been intrigued by their wider symbolism. Meanings of birds and their symbolism varies greatly from representing immortality, departed souls, enlightenment and spirit messengers to representing fertility, protection, and strength. In many cultures they are seen as messengers from the spirit world and a reminder of our ancestors. Whenever a bird pops up on my window sill I aways imagine it is one of my ancestors passing on a message and that all is well.
